hacet has it

fashion…celebs…life…hacet has it all…

dos and don’ts: haircuts July 7, 2010

totalhair.net do take a picture of a celebrity's hairstyle that you want. don't freak out if it doesn't come out perfect, like this popular jessica simpson style. styles rarely come out perfectly due to the thickness of your hair versus the thickness of the celeb you're mimicking.

ulearn08media.com don't look at the ground while the hairdresser is chopping off your locks. it will send you into panic mode. keep your eyes on the mirror. if it looks like she is cutting too much, speak up. after the fact, it's too late to tell her it's too short.

life123.com do donate your hair if it's long enough. charities like locks of love provide wigs to kids who have cancer and alopecia. and most charities will take hair that has been dyed as long as it's not damaged. minimum length is usually 8 or ten inches.

aaa-fashion.com do get bangs if you love the trend. but be careful. not everyone can pull it off like rachel bilson here. if this is too blunt, go for a sideswept look that can be pulled back.

vizu.typepad.com don't make any drastic changes unless you're ready to live with them. katie holmes can pull off both lengths but don't try it unless you're feeling adventurous.

mygloss.com do learn what works and what doesn't on your hair when it comes to styling it, like chameleon nicole richie. nic's hair always looks great but it takes work to get there.

dos and don’ts: nail polish July 1, 2010

boingboing.com don't get weird crap printed on your nails. i'm sorry but it looks really weird.

photobucket.com what is this? seriously, please don't. are they supposed to be upside down strawberries? fruit belongs in the fridge not on your fingers.

flickr.com don't get pictures painted on your nails either. it looks tacky. and very childish.

prevention.com do get a pretty manicure. or if you're good at the diy yourself, you can do it at home.

alllacqueredup.com do choose a bright, fun color like yellow for summer.

chic.tv don't match your nail polish to the exact color of your dress. in this case, both are dark so it's not as much of a felony. but please, no bright pink dress and bright pink nails, elle woods!

coolnailsart.com don't be afraid to go dark but keep them short.

fabulousafter40.com don't let your nails chip too much before cleaning up your mani. if you painted them in a lighter color, you can get away with a few chips. but the darker or brighter you go, you more obvious it is. and it just looks sloppy.

facebook.com, do wear dresses in fun prints.

facebook.com, don't play peek-a-boo. everyone needs a little coverage.

focusonstyle.com, do wear bright colors! great for a hot summer day. or night.

poponthepop.com, do dress your little girl in pretty dresses. don't let them wear heels until they're older. please.

blogs.bet.com, don't wear dresses with sneakers. it looks less feminine. not to mention, it's ugly. if your feet can't handle heels, exchange them for flats.

closetconfidentials.com, don't wear dresses with corsets. those days are too far gone. and they're incredibly uncomfortable.

fashionchicks.co.uk, do wear dresses with pretty ruffles. this look is very sophisticated. an all-around do.

avon.com, this seven-in-one dress is the ultimate do. seven outfits in one and each one is more fashionable than the last. love it!

dos and don’ts: leggings May 11, 2010

leggings are a trend that i was so terrifed of when it first hit and now, they’re so versatile, i don’t see them ever leaving. but they are trickier to wear than they seem. they highlight the size of your thighs, so you have to make sure to wear them right. and they’re so comfortable, so major points there. but please remember, they’re not pants.

buzzbeyotch.com

i repeat, leggings are not pants. i don’t care how skinny you are. this is a huge don’t.

yoga-ez.com

the only exception to the leggings aren’t pants rule: workout leggings. if you’re wearing them for yoga or a long run, it’s a do, as long as you have the body for it. it ain’t pretty to see too much thigh, so be careful. but hey, all the power to you for hitting the gym.

polyvore.com

don’t! don’t! don’t! seriously, what is this?

x17online.com

if you’re not homeless, your clothes should not have this many holes in it. this trashy look is a don’t.

lookbook.nu

this look is an all-around do! love the dress and leggings look. and even better, you can wear that super-short dress without worrying about an accidental peek-a-boo.

denimology.com

i hate the denim leggings trend. you can’t have your cake and eat it too. pick one or the other: leggings or skinny jeans. this look is a don’t for me.

dos and don’ts: bachelor edition! how to know when you’re coming on too strong January 24, 2010

ydblogz.com

do let the guy know how you feel. that is why you’re on the show.

buddytv.com

don’t tell him you want him to be the father of your children on the first date. got that, ella?

jokersupdates.com

do try to stand out among the group on a group date. it’s tough competing for the same guy, let alone competing for his attention when you’re out with six other woman. but ashley knew what was up.

don’t profess your love to him in front of other girls. it’s just awkward.

buddytv.com

do enjoy your one-on-one time with him. good job ali!

buddytv.com

don’t come home and brag about it. it will only make all the other girls more annoyed with you. and hate you even more, vienna.

latimes.com

don’t play games and tell the bachelor he can’t kiss you and then try tempting him. it will get you kicked off a la elizabeth.

thehollywoodgossip.com

also, don’t start sleeping with a producer. it will also get you kicked off, right rozlyn?

do act like yourself.

tv.com

please don’t act like michelle and come on too strong. people think you’re completely insane. you talk awkwardly slow. and we get it! you came on the show to marry jake. well, at least there are other fish in the sea.

dos and don’ts: working out January 15, 2010

it’s the new year so of course i’m spending lots of time at the gym and finding inspiration when i’m there. it’s great to work out but how much good are you doing yourself? follow these simple dos and don’ts and you should be off on the right foot.

openendedquestion.com

do work off a sweat. that is why you’re doing it afterall.

ohlalaparis.com

don’t work out in jeans and khakis. other than the fact that it looks weird, it seems uncomfortable. how good of a workout can you really get?

sashafierce.com

don’t wear makeup/pretend to be one of those girls who doesn’t really work out. you make the people who are busting their butts and profusely sweating feel really bad about ourselves.

celebrityrush.com

do picture an ex or chris brown if you’re taking an intense kickboxing class…whatever makes your blood boil.

wordpress.com

don’t talk on your phone.  it’s just really annoying for everyone around you.

styletraxx.com

do try to get the hot guy’s attention. and just because you have sweat running down your face doesn’t mean he thinks you’re disgusting. in fact, he may find it hot (and by hot, i don’t mean sweaty).

profy.com

do listen to really great music.

crossfit.com

don’t push yourself too hard and pass out and don’t compete with everyone around you. it’s not a competion.

dos and don’ts: peek-a-boo bra straps May 8, 2009

Filed under: dos and don'ts — hacethasit @ 8:33 am
showing your bra straps is generally a don’t but there are exceptions to every rule. here are the exceptions and the absolute don’t-even-think-about-its.
lifeatuni.com

lifeatuni.com

do subtly show your bra a la carrie bradshaw. this is a tricky trend so be careful if you attempt. only certain bras are meant to be seen, so choose something in black lace or another ornate style.

manilafashionobserver.blogspot.com

manilafashionobserver.blogspot.com

don’t let your bra straps show under a strapless dress. even if you pair black with black, the look still doesn’t work and amy winehouse is just all kinds of trashy.

en.ce.cn

en.ce.cn

do wear a funky bra under a wife beater but attempt with caution. this look has a tendency to be associated with white trash.  it can be funky fun for a stage rocker like gwen stefani, but if you really want to pull off the look, you first have to become a rockstar. good luck.

hotmomsclub.com
hotmomsclub.com

don’t show your bra if it’s a natural shade. the reason it is skintone is because it’s meant to blend in with your skin color. you either look trashy or if you’re lucky, it looks like you weren’t aware your straps were playing peek-a-boo.

momgrind.com

momgrind.com

don’t wear clear straps thinking no one can see the straps. it’s the same as looking through a window and thinking you’re outside. besides, since they’re made of plastic, they don’t stretch well and usually look like they are cutting off your cirulation and instead of being clear underneath, your skin actually turns purple. ick.

lifeatuni.com

lifeatuni.com

don’t ever wear a bra wtih a halter top. this should be common sense. i’m appalled that people would even think it’s okay to leave the house like this. where is your dignity?

picapp.com

picapp.com

this don’t is more of a celebrity oops! nicole kidman looked stunning at the australia premiere but i don’t think nic realized how exposed her backside was. if you look close enough, you can see her thong and her bra. it’s called underwear for a reason, nic.

dos and don’ts: leg warmers May 2, 2009

Filed under: dos and don'ts — hacethasit @ 8:58 pm
teamsugar.com

teamsugar.com

do wear leg warmers over heels for a trendy look. feel free to spice up your outfit with patterned or colorful leg warmers like these black-and-white-striped ones. not a big fan of heels? you can don the trend with flats. don’t be afraid to get creative.

fashionpolice.com

fashionpolice.com

don’t be too matchy-matchy. pairing your leggings with the exact shade of your dress and shoes is not okay. the only exception to the color rule is black of course.

ehow.com

ehow.com

do play peek-a-boo with your leggings by showing  just the top of them coming out of your boots. another great way to wear the trend is over leggings, stockings or skinny jeans that tuck into your boots. this is also a great way to break up the black-on-black color scheme as seen here.

personal photo

don’t, i repeat don’t wear leg warmers with flip-flops. this is the most confusing look ever. is it hot out? is it cold out? seriously, i can think of a hundred things wrong with this look. just don’t do it.

splendidcity.com

splendidcity.com

this is another don’t look. it follows a similar look to the flip-flops and leg warmers trend seen in the picture above, except this is a one-piece look. again, i am baffled by this trend. it sends mixed messages and it’s ugly. why anyone would wear a thong sandal with an attached leg warmer is beyond me.

kalenji-running.com

kalenji-running.com

do wear sporty leg warmers with your running shoes. this look works for the gym and the park. obviously, this isn’t a going out look but it’s important to keep your legs warm for running. isn’t that why leg warmers were invented in the first place?
