helllllo captain kirk. you may not be a trekkie fan but you’ve probably noticed sexy newcomer chris pine, unless of course you live under a rock.

chris pine first got my attention in the princess diaries two: the royal engagement. is that embarassing? but the actor fell of the radar again, only playing in small parts and guest roles on shows like american dreams and six feet under before landing the role in the new star trek movie.

this hot new piece of man candy doesn’t just know how to look good or act, he has an english degree from uc berkeley and studied at the university of leeds in england. if acting doesn’t work out…i wouldn’t mind a grammar lesson.

and the info you really want to know…chris says he’s single and looking for an intelligent woman to date but the tabs say otherwise.

rumor has it, chris is wining and dining the hills socialite audrina patridge. the reality star has supposedly been spotted leaving his apartment early in the a.m. the two met at an awards show in vegas. i hope this isn’t true for chris’s sake. i don’t know if we can handle another hills romance.

katy perry is ‘hot ‘n bold’ May 3, 2009

dating someone for two years? wow, that’s like seven years in nowadays katy tells a  soldout crowd at a recent concert. as a bunch perry-memorbilia clad tween fans begin screaming, i suddenly feel like i’ve been transplanted back into an *nsync concert, not that i’m complaining…

katy really knows how to put on a show. the spunky songstress wowed the crowd with her energy, jer jokes and of course her songs, switching lyrics up as she went…”i’m so mean cuz i cant’ get you out of your head i’m so angry because you’d rather myspace and i can’t believe i fell in love with…john mayer.” (neither can jessica simpson).

the stage was adorned with various fruits, you know strawberries, watermelon and of course, bananas. katy herself donned a  bright, multi-colored suit (like you’re surprised).

she sang every song on her debut album and ended the show exactly the way she should have, first lecturing fans who didn’t bring their cherry chapstick before breaking out into her smashhit i kissed a girl.

i’ll admit, in middle school, i wanted to be joey potter. she was the quintessential girl-next-door with a natural prettiness to her in that i’m-not-blonde way and she seemed so wholesome. so what happened to that sweet, innocent girl? uhh she grew up, married tom cruise and turned into a fashion icon, more or less, overnight.

and posh she is. katie holmes has the ability to not only be trendy but she makes her style choices so accessible, which makes her a fave in my book. like our first lady michelle obama and fellow stylista, katie isn’t afraid to mix and match designer with more mainstream ready-to-wear pieces from stores like h&m. while her bff victoria beckham wears stilettos with the heel part missing (i’m not even kidding), katie tends to take risks without ending up on the worst-dressed pages.

and the hair. where do i even begin? love it! when katie traded in her trademark long locks for an edgier short cut, she truly turned a new page. as she lets the fashion industry eat out of her perfectly manicured hands, katie continues to rule the ever-evolving fashion world.
